Michael Mainelli
Lord Mayor of the City of London

Michael Mainelli is the 695th Lord Mayor of the City of London. Originally a research scientist in aerospace and computing, he later worked as a senior partner with accountants BDO Binder Hamlyn, as Corporate Development Director for Europe’s largest R&D firm, and in M&A at a leading merchant bank. In 1994, he co-founded Z/Yen, the City’s leading think-tank, promoting societal advance through better finance and technology. 

David Bholat
Director of Financial Services

David Bholat is Faculty’s Director for Financial Services, leading the transformation of clients’ core business using AI in the UK and internationally. Previously, he led and launched analytical functions at Barclays and the Bank of England. He was formerly a Non-Executive Director for a credit union, and is currently a Trustee for a charity, a Member of the British Library’s Advisory Council, and Member of the Resources and Audit Committee for a private equity foundation.
