Faculty today (4 June) proudly announces the appointment of Air Chief Marshal Sir Mike Wigston as a Strategic Advisor.

Sir Mike will help shape Faculty’s business and growth strategy, including organisational design, international footprint, governance, talent management and data and tech up-skilling.

He will report directly to the CEO, and provide strategic advice to Faculty’s senior leadership team as the company grows in the UK and overseas.

Sir Mike was Chief of the Air Staff from July 2019 until June 2023, where he was in command of the Royal Air Force – leading 35,000 regular and reserve personnel and 5,000 civil servants.

He previously served as Assistant Chief of the Air Staff from 2017 to 2018, and Deputy Commander from 2018 to 2019.

Sir Mike said:

“Faculty is an award-winning British AI company with brilliant people and deeply impressive technology. I am thrilled to be joining the Faculty team at this key stage in their growth, helping support their continued success.”

The appointment comes as customers increasingly turn to Faculty for advice on how AI can improve their operations and decision making.
