Faculty today (26 September) announces the appointment of new Senior Education Adviser, Dr. Adam Black.
As Faculty’s Senior Education Adviser, Adam will provide thought leadership for where and how AI can help transform education, assist our teams in helping leading education companies scale AI adoption, and provide strategic advice to Faculty’s senior leadership team as the company continues to grow.
Adam joins Faculty after holding leadership roles in strategy, product and technology, innovation, and learning science at some of the world’s largest education companies. With nearly three decades of experience, he has led the creation of serial market-leading digital products in US higher education, K12, ELT, corporate, and consumer sectors, impacting more than 60 million learners, and advised more than 180 edtech startups on growth strategies.
Adam will work closely with Tom Nixon, Faculty’s Managing Director for Applied AI. Dr. Adam Black said:
“It’s an exciting time to join Faculty’s advisory board when AI is both creating new opportunities for education companies and threatening their future. As an educator at heart, I’m a big fan of Faculty’s human-centred approach to AI and I admire their expertise assessing companies’ AI maturity and building AI capabilities that accelerate growth. I’m thrilled to support them through their next phase of growth, and to help them unlock the potential of AI for the education companies they serve.”
Our Managing Director for Applied AI, Tom Nixon added:
“I am incredibly excited to welcome Adam to Faculty. His extensive experience combined with his deep understanding of mature learning systems and education technology, makes him the perfect fit to help accelerate our impact in this hugely important sector. Adam’s leadership will be instrumental as we continue to support education companies and organisations to scale AI adoption responsibly and effectively.”
