Director of Consumer
Josh leads Faculty’s work with clients in Consumer Industries such as Retail, eCommerce, Consumer goods and Travel. Josh’s expertise is in using AI to help brands build stronger supply chains and better relationships with their customers.
Josh has 11 years of experience in building and leading data science teams and projects. Prior to joining Faculty, he was the Director of Data Science for Red Bull where he was responsible for the deployment of a wide range of AI and machine-learning initiatives across sales, marketing and media.
Calum has 12 years of consulting and industry experience. Before joining Faculty, he was a Director in the consulting division of Iris Worldwide. In this role he ran the European Data Science and Consulting relationship for Starbucks. He also managed Data Science projects for Samsung, Shell, Value Retail, IHG Hotels and Genting Casino. Prior to Iris, he worked in various strategy and commercial roles at Amazon, BT / BT Sport and Capgemini Consulting. Calum has a Bsc Hons in Business Administration from the University of Bath.
Engagement Manager, Consumer
Since joining Faculty, Cathy has managed projects that designed robust frameworks for A/B testing within the Marketing sector, integrated AI safety tooling for financial services firms, and developed and deployed computer vision algorithms to detect deepfake content online.
Prior to joining Faculty, Cathy worked as a Portfolio Manager and Investment Strategist at BlackRock within their Global Fixed Income team. She graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in Economics and holds an MSc in Data Science from City University, London. She is also a CFA charterholder.
Dr Gary Willis
Lead Data Scientist, Consumer
Gary has extensive experience of leading data science projects across a broad range of sectors, with particular specialism in uplift and propensity modelling in the Consumer space. He has expertise in building predictive models for customer analytics, running large scale A/B tests and RCTSs, fraud detection and opinion polling. His work has been covered by the BBC, the Independent and the Daily Mail.
Gary was previously the Roth Scholar in Statistical Physics at Imperial College. He presented his research at numerous international conferences and was published in leading condensed-matter physics journals.
Engagement Manager, Consumer
At Faculty, Tom has worked closely with our Retail customers to deploy our marketing optimisation suite into production, while also advising numerous companies on their broader AI strategy. Before joining Faculty, Tom spent five years as a Management Consultant at PwC, specialising in technology-enabled business transformation.
Tom has worked with clients across industry sectors to set strategic direction, (re)design operating models, scope, plan, and deliver change programmes, and select and deploy technology. Tom has deep experience in Retail and Consumer Goods in particular, alongside Professional and Legal Services, Oil and Gas, and Financial and Operational Excellence.
