AI for climate action: post-COP reflections and future directions
Breakfast discussion on the role of AI in long-term climate mitigation and future strategies
As we approach COP29 in Azerbaijan, Faculty is hosting two events designed to enhance our collective approach to sustainability and AI. We invite you to join us at our HQ in Old Street on Wednesday, 4th of December, from 08:30 to 11:30, for the second event in this series titled “AI for Climate Action: Post-COP Reflections and Future Directions”, hosted by our Energy Transition & Environment team.
Building upon the strategic insights from our first event – which focused on embedding sustainability at the highest levels of corporate governance – this session transitions from strategy into action. We will explore how AI can be ethically and effectively employed to drive climate initiatives post-COP29, specifically diving into these topics:
Accelerating climate tech innovation with AI: Discover how AI is driving innovation in climate technology and what this means for the future
Practical applications of AI in the energy transition: Explore real-world examples of how AI is facilitating the shift toward renewable energy and optimising energy systems
Guiding ethical AI use through policy: Understand the critical importance of policy frameworks in ensuring ethical and sustainable deployment of AI for climate action
This event offers an opportunity to gain actionable insights and engage with leaders who are at the forefront of leveraging AI for a sustainable future post-COP29. Join us to hear from experts in the climate tech space, leaders in energy transition and policy advisors.
We look forward to welcoming you to this event as we discuss avenues to employ AI ethically and effectively to drive climate initiatives post-COP29.
Please register by December 1st to secure your spot.
